Few remember that the
mouth of the Rouge River was once cottage country. These three photos
of West Hill in the 1930's are copyright Rosanna Renshaw
(2002).
Here is a better view of one of the
cottages that lined Lake Ontario at what is now Rouge Beach.
As you can see the beach remains
substantially the same. Thanks to Mrs. Renshaw for sharing these
memories.
